All Commands

We plan to sunset Spam Defender later in the summer of 2023. Until then, Spam Defender will remain online, but no further development will take place.

We recommend that you install Hashbot as the best protection for your community.

Block Commands

Good to know: Spam Defender's /block commands scan for username matches continuously. Spammers and scammers will be caught even if they change their username after joining your server.

Good to know: All /block commands have automatic symbol/unicode deciphering. Spam Defender can decipher hundreds of alternate characters to catch even the most elaborate attempts to evade detection.

/block username

Blocks users matching a specific username from joining your server.

Command usage: /block username [username] /block username helpdesk

/block keyword

Blocks users with a specific keyword in their username from joining your server.

Command usage: /block keyword [keyword] /block keyword announcement

Matching user examples: Project Announcements announcement แ—…๐“ƒnแ€un๐•”าฝmen๐“ฝ ๐šฉฮฟt

View a list of your server's blocked usernames.

Scan Commands

Good to know: It's helpful to run this command after blocking a new username or keyword to catch bots that joined before Spam Defender was set up.

Good to know: If any matches are found, Spam Defender will list their names and there will be a button to ban all matching members with a single click

/scan usernames

Scan every member in your server for usernames matching your server's blocked usernames.

Command usage: /scan usernames

/scan keywords

Scan every member in your server for usernames including keywords in your server's blocked keywords.

Command usage: /scan keywords

Unblock Commands

/unblock username

Remove a username from your server's blocked usernames.

Command usage: /unblock username [username] /unblock username helpdesk

/unblock keyword

Remove a keyword from your server's blocked keywords.

Command usage: /unblock keyword [keyword] /unblock keyword announcement

Other Commands

/disable

Disable Spam Defender in your server. This will disable the bot's automatic raid detection and username/keyword blocking. To enable Spam Defender again in the future, run the /setup command.

Get a link to invite Spam Defender to a new server.

Set Spam Defender up in your server or move its messages to a new channel.

View details about upgrading Spam Defender in your server and get a link to open Spam Defender's Patreon page.

/whitelist

Whitelist a user from Spam Defender's block lists. This command is helpful for protecting real users who might be detected by /block keyword so that they aren't banned by /scan keywords.
